A Comprehensive Comparison of Trust Management Systems for Federation

چکیده

Federation becomes pervasive in information sharing and collaborations over distributed systems, ubiquitous systems, and the Internet. Trust management plays a critical role to smooth collaborations and information sharing across different trust domains. The federation of trust management is a new direction for these networked systems. In this paper, the requirements and a set of evaluation metrics for federated trust management systems are briefly examined, and then a comprehensive comparison of extant trust management systems is made against these metrics. The purpose of this paper is not to provide an ultimate comparison covering all necessary features; instead, its purpose is to initiate a discussion and to offer a context in which to evaluate current and future solutions, in order to encourage the development of proper models and systems for federated trust management.

On Efficiency of Non-Monotone Adaptive Trust Region and Scaled Trust Region Methods in Solving Nonlinear Systems of Equations

In this paper we run two important methods for solving some well-known problems and make a comparison on their performance and efficiency in solving nonlinear systems of equations‎. ‎One of these methods is a non-monotone adaptive trust region strategy and another one is a scaled trust region approach‎. ‎Each of methods showed fast convergence in special problems and slow convergence in other o...

DisTriB: Distributed Trust Management Model Based on Gossip Learning and Bayesian Networks in Collaborative Computing Systems

The interactions among peers in Peer-to-Peer systems as a distributed collaborative system are based on asynchronous and unreliable communications. Trust is an essential and facilitating component in these interactions specially in such uncertain environments. Various attacks are possible due to large-scale nature and openness of these systems that affects the trust. Peers has not enough inform...

Comprehensive trust management

Trust has been viewed as an integral component of agent decision making in the context of multiagent systems (MASs). Various formal and semi-formal trust schemes, motivated by diverse considerations and influenced by various fields of study, have been proposed, implemented, and evaluated. We believe that there still exists a pressing need for developing a comprehensive trust management scheme t...

A collusion mitigation scheme for reputation systems

Reputation management systems are in wide-spread use to regulate collaborations in cooperative systems. Collusion is one of the most destructive malicious behaviors in which colluders seek to affect a reputation management system in an unfair manner. Many reputation systems are vulnerable to collusion, and some model-specific mitigation methods are proposed to combat collusion. Detection of col...

Trust Aspects in the Architecture of Interoperable Systems

By introducing trust concepts to the enteprise computing arena, a more user-oriented view to trustworthy services becomes available. We can consider a business service to be trustworthy, if it is likely to provide us the right functionality and to deliver it in a manner that is, for example, timely, secure, and privacy-preserving. In order to achieve this goal, a lot of progress has to be made ...
